Couponing excuses are easy to find. I used to use the same excuses. You say you do not have time to clip coupons. You say that your time is more valuable. You say that you already use coupons. This is not like the TLC Extreme Couponing. One person in the TLC Extreme Couponing is not just a couponer but a hoarder. It is good to save items but you do not need 40 years of toilet paper.
Compare your excuses too
When you hear that a gas station down the street or around the corner is ten cents less, do you simply get gas at the closest gas station? The store has a 50 percent off their original price do you go out of your way to check it out? Will you go to a store if you can get two dinners for the price of one? How far would you go if you could pay half price for a brand new car? Yes, I said, “A Brand New Car.”
Saving Time
Coupon shopping saves time. When one buys uses, their coupons and stocks up on items when the price is right you save the time you would have spent running to the store. Someone I know after teaching them about couponing said that they were sold when they realized that on Sunday morning they would not have to run to the store to get more hair spray. They were able to get six cans of hairspray free after using their coupons. Therefore, when their wife ran out of hair spray instead of running to the store they simply went and got another one they had got free.
Save Money
One will save money when using coupons. If the previous story of getting six cans of hairspray was not enough to let you know you can save money then maybe I can tell you a few more. My wife and I went to Safeway and picked up some groceries. The total bill before coupons would have cost us over 300 dollars. We saved 170 dollars. Another person I know was buying some nasal spray paid 14 dollars and got back 41 dollars.
Use Coupons Wisely
Learn to use your coupons wisely. Some say that they are using coupons already. If they are only getting one newspaper then they are not using coupons wisely. If one could get several cars for half price, why would one not get as many as one can and sale some to pay for the others? Get more newspapers on Sunday so you can have more coupons.
Help Others While Couponing
How can one help others while couponing? When you can get baby items for free or almost free and do not, need them give them to a friend who is having a baby? When getting more toothpaste then you need for free give it to a women’s shelter. When you get too much shampoo, give it to a homeless shelter. In addition, once your coupons expire then you can mail them to the troops overseas because they can use them up to 6 months past the expiration date.
